Coffee Break | Jeffrey & Lindsay

Jeff quickly pulled on his infamous leather jacket before tugging on some Nike sneakers, shrugging his shoulders. He wasn’t really out to impress Lindsay, but was sure that she would be if she was like most women. It wasn’t hard to impress women with a leather jacket and a good smile. Trying to move quickly, he busied himself with some texting as he walked down the streets in the cold November air. Halloween was over and the city looked deader than ever before.

A chill ran up his spine as he stepped inside, the heat hitting his cold fingertips. Walking up to the barista, he ordered a chocolate chip muffin and a caramel swirl machiatto. Jeff turned around to see that Lindsay was sitting by the fireplace. Heading towards her with his food, he grinned, setting it down before holding out a hand for her. “Hi, Lindsay? I’m Jeff. Nice spot, I’m freezing.” he said with a soft chuckle.

Lindsay grinned at Jeff standing up to give his hand a friendly shake before settling back into her chair. “Nice to meet you Jeff” she said taking a big sip of her frappuccino. Jeff was a very handsome guy in Lindsay’s opinion and she was sure he made many women drop at the snap of his fingers. “How are you?” Lindsay asked him trying to make friendly conversation. Lindsay hated nothing more than awkward silences where two people just sat there uncomfortable fiddling with their fingers. If ever the lively redhead felt things were getting quiet she made sure to lighten things up.

That’s great that you’re enjoying your classes! Any big art projects coming up anytime soon? Yeah, New York is great. I take it you’re not from the city, originally? I’ve been alright! I’ve been putting a lot of time in my school work as usual, so that’s no surprise. I really want to nab this summer opportunity, so it’s just another incentive to work hard. :) 

Yeah coming to Rockefeller is kinda like a dream come true for me. Hm…we are going to start a project in a few days where we do a portrait of someone and I’m still not quite sure who I’ll do mine of and no, I’m from just outside of the city but I always knew I was going to live in New York one day. It was sort of the thing I was always working towards in life. I really hope you get to go on this trip in the summer though, it sounds amazing! I’m sure you’d take so much from it. If you go you’ll need to send me lots of pictures, I wish I could join you. (:

Coffe Break | Jeffery & Lindsay

Lindsay grabbed her navy blue trench coat before heading out of her dorm room and outside into the cold night. Lindsay had never been more glad that the Starbucks was only at the top of the street as she hurried towards it, her hair blowing wildly behind her. Once she pulled the door to the Starbucks open and shuffled inside she felt an instant sense of relief to be in doors and made her way up to the cash buying herself one Caramel Frappuccino, her favourite.

Lindsay took a seat in the back of the Starbucks right near the fireplace, because it made her feel nice and cozy, as she waited for Jeffery to show up. Lindsay didn’t know Jeffery very well and anything she did know was just talk she’d heard around school. She had no idea what to expect but Lindsay enjoyed meeting new people and was glad Jeffery had offered to grab a coffee with her. So Lindsay sat there sipping at her large Frappuccino waiting for Jeffery to appear.
